    Baseball roundup: Orange Lutheran tops Santa Margarita with walk-off grand slam

    CJ Weinstein hit a walk-off grand slam in the eighth inning for Orange Lutheran in a 5-1 win over Santa Margarita in the Trinity League on Wednesday night at Hart Park.

    Angel Gonzalez led the eighth inning off with a single and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. After two consecutive walks, Weinstein hit his second home run of the season to give Orange Lutheran (18-3 overall, 6-2 league) its 11th consecutive win.

    Ricardo Hurtado went 2 for 3 with a run scored. Weinstein, who has signed with LSU, also had a double.

    Pitcher Gary Morse allowed no earned runs and two hits in six innings with nine strikeouts. Marcus Greis pitched two scoreless innings of relief to get the win.

    Noah Darnell allowed one run in four innings with four strikeouts for Santa Margarita (14-10, 3-7).

    Tyler George drove in the lone run of the game for the Eagles. Cooper Holland and Dylan Bright each singled and had a stolen base.

    In the Trinity League:

    Mater Dei 8, JSerra 5 (8 innings): Mater Dei scored three runs to tie the game in the seventh and four in the eighth to beat JSerra..

    The Monarchs (13-7, 5-3) trailed 4-1 with two outs in the seventh inning when Jack Reis hit a three-run home run to tie the game.

    Emilio Young hit a run-scoring triple in the eighth inning and Mater Dei later added two runs on an error. Young and Ezekiel Lara each had two hits with Lara adding a double and a stolen base.

    Emmett Kopp allowed just one run in five innings with seven strikeouts for JSerra (7-17, 1-10). Blake Bowen had two doubles and Brise Boop drove in two runs.

    In the Crestview League:

    Cypress 1, Foothill 0 (10 innings): Jake DeLaquil hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning for Cypress.

    Landon Anderson led the inning off for Cypress with a double and he scored the game-winning run on DeLaquil’s hit.

    UC Santa Barbara signee Drew Slevcove allowed just three hits in eight innings with 13 strikeouts for Cypress (18-5, 8-1). Landon Smith threw two innings of scoreless relief to get the win.

    Caden Lauridsen pitched nine scoreless innings with just five hits allowed and four strikeouts for Foothill (15-8, 3-4).

    El Dorado 1, La Habra 0: Brady Abner hit a go-ahead single in the sixth inning for El Dorado.

    Christian Rojas hit a double and Xavi Cadena drew an intentional walk prior to Abner’s game-winning hit. Julian Rodriguez pitched a shutout with five hits allowed and five strikeouts for El Dorado (10-14, 2-7).

    Angel Acuna allowed one run in six innings with four hits for La Habra (10-12-1, 2-5). Jordan Hammond had a single and a stolen base.

    In the South Coast League:

    San Clemente 2, Aliso Niguel 1: San Clemente took advantage of five errors by Aliso Niguel.

    Easton Muraira pitched a complete game for San Clemente (16-8, 7-4) with five strikeouts and kept Aliso Niguel off the scoreboard for the last six innings. Owen Goulet had two hits and scored a run for the Tritons, who have won the first two games of the three-game series.

    Hudson Covington went 2 for 3 with a double for Aliso Niguel (14-7-2, 2-5-1) and Henry Drews added a double. Carson Etnire drove in the lone run for the Wolverines in the first inning. Freshman Ryan Maguire allowed one earned run in five innings.

    Dana Hills 11, Tesoro 0: Tommy Burke hit a home run, a double and had six RBIs for Dana Hills.

    Dana Hills (16-7, 5-3) scored all 11 runs in the first three innings.

    Burke hit a three-run home run in the third inning and Ely Olesen hit a solo home run in the first. Aiden Desormiers and Ryan See drove in runs for the Dolphins.

    See pitched six shutout innings with seven strikeouts.

    In the Sunset League:

    Huntington Beach 4, Los Alamitos 2: Jared Grindlinger had eight strikeouts over five innings with one run allowed for Huntington Beach.

    Sol Moriyama drove in two runs for Huntington Beach (18-4-1, 14-0). Dane Cunningham went 1 for 2 with a run scored.

    Tanner Nickols and Will McCullough each drove in runs for Los Alamitos (7-17, 3-14). Nickols and Parker Sanchez each had doubles for the Griffins.

    Corona del Mar 3, Marina 0: Will Chavez pitched a three-hit shutout with four strikeouts for Corona del Mar.

    Chavez also drove a run and stole two bases for Corona del Mar (12-11, 5-9). Max Brengel had two hits with a double and JJ Haley added a double.

    Aiden Hesse went 2 for 2 with two doubles and a stolen base for Marina (11-13, 6-8).

    Fountain Valley 4, Newport Harbor 2: Fountain Valley scored two runs in the fifth to beat Newport Harbor.

    Josh Grack hit a run-scoring double and Isaac Lomeli hit a RBI single on the ensuing at bat. Grack went 2 for 4 with two doubles and Jackson Clark drove in a run for Fountain Valley (12-11, 6-8). D’Angelo Diaz and Nixon Hunt combined to allow just two hits for the Barons.

    Henry Mann had a double and a RBI for Newport Harbor (17-7, 11-3) and Grant Horsley had a double.

    In the North Hills League:

    Sunny Hills 6, Troy 5 (8 innings): Riley Shaw hit a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning for Sunny Hill.

    Jack Verity had two doubles and drove in a run for Sunny Hills( 14-8-2, 6-3). Dallas Girod went 2 for 3 with a double and a RBI and Cameron Morris went 2 for 4 with a RBI. Oliver Botch went 3 for 5 with one RBI and Diego Hernandez pitched four innings of relief to get the win.

    Jack Bistline had a double with a RBI for Troy (12-0, 1-8). Sebastian Madden went 2 for 3 with one RBI and Logan Taylor stole a base.

    In the Pacific Coast League:

    Woodbridge 5, Portola 0: Vincent DeMarco allowed one hit in six shutout innings with 12 strikeouts for Woodbridge.

    Henry Uhrik went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs for Woodbridge (13-10, 9-2). Vaughn Tase had two hits and Caleb Camacho had a single with two runs scored.

    DJ Nguyen had the lone hit of the game for Portola (6-10, 5-6).

    Laguna Beach 4, University 3: Dylan Yencho hit a walk-off single for Laguna Beach.

    Yencho went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Parker Moore drove in a run. Otis Boultinghouse stole two bases and scored three runs for Laguna Beach (15-8, 8-3).. Branson Wade pitched a complete game with two earned runs and 10 strikeouts.

    Luke Emrich hit a solo home run for University (6-14, 4-7) and Shawn Ho drove in a run. Vince Maxim allowed one earned run in 6⅔ innings with five strikeouts.
