This Nashville-based trio just won The Voice’s ‘Mic Drop’ playoffs, and a spot in the Rose Parade
    • December 9, 2025

Country-pop trio Dek of Hearts was announced winner of The Voice’s “Mic Drop” competition during its episode on Monday evening, Dec. 8.

With the win, the trio will go on to perform at the 137th Rose Parade on New Year’s Day.

The Nashville-based group consists of Dylan John, Emily Klapp and Kollin Bailey.

This is the first year The Voice has featured the Mic Drop competition, where each of the show’s four hosts are given a “Mic Drop” button to use for a contestant they deem the best during the Knockouts round. Then, viewers at home get to vote for which Mic Drop contestant they want to perform at the Rose Parade.

Voting for the Mic Drop competition occurred from Nov. 24 to Nov. 28.

Dek of Hearts earned a “Mic Drop” from Coach Niall Horan after their performance of Lady Antebellum’s “What If I Never Get Over You” during the Knockout round.

Other Mic Drop contestants included 14-year-old Broadway veteran Ralph Edwards, country singer Aaron Nichols and singer-songwriter Yoshihanaa, selected by coaches Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire and Snoop Dogg, respectively.
