Disneyland starts new shuttle service at Toy Story parking lot
    • April 1, 2026

Disneyland has hired a new shuttle bus company to transport 7 million visitors a year between the Toy Story parking lot and the Anaheim theme park’s front gates after a city-wide bus service ceased operations.

Disneyland began the new bus service on Wednesday, April 1 after the Anaheim Transportation Network that provided buses for theme park visitors parking at the Toy Story lot shut down on Tuesday, March 31.

Most Disneyland visitors will not even notice the change.

The new plain white buses with a simple Disneyland logo look remarkably similar to the ART buses that featured a blue wrap-around design with Disneyland graphics.

MousePlanet reports the new Toy Story shuttle buses are operated by the same contractor that runs the Disneyland employee parking lot shuttles.

Disneyland had always assured theme park visitors that shuttle service between the Toy Story lot and the parks would remain uninterrupted by the ART system shutdown.

Disneyland is actively exploring next steps for resort-area transportation for theme park guests.

Garden Grove launched a new shuttle bus system to replace ART in late March that serves 10 city hotels — including the Great Wolf Lodge and Hyatt Regency.

Anaheim hotels are working to develop an independent shuttle system to replace ART, according to city officials.

Four Anaheim hotels — Hilton Anaheim, Anaheim Marriott, Clarion Anaheim and Sheraton Park Anaheim — started a new shuttle service on Wednesday that transports hotel guests to and from the Disneyland resort, according to Mickey Visit.

The Anaheim Transportation Network launched in 1995 as a way to serve the 27 million annual Disneyland visitors staying off-property at nearby hotels and arriving by train.

Transporting theme park visitors between the Toy Story lot and Disneyland’s front gate represented 83% of ART’s total ridership.

Parking on the eastside of the Disneyland resort will change dramatically over the next few years.

Disneyland plans to build the 6,000-space Eastern Gateway parking structure on the Manchester employee parking lot as part of the $1.9 billion DisneylandForward project.

Disneyland plans to transform the Toy Story parking lot into an entertainment district with theme park experiences, hotels, retail and dining, according to the DisneylandForward plan.
