Angels scheduled to start on the road again in 2027
    • July 16, 2026

Major League Baseball released its 2027 schedule on Thursday amid skepticism that the season will actually start on time. A lockout is widely expected to begin on Dec. 1, 2026, and linger into the season. In 2021-22, the last time there was a lockout, the start of the season was delayed by a week, and the games were made up as doubleheaders and into early October.

If by some unlikely event the owners and players settle their differences and ink a new Collective Bargaining Agreement in time, the Angels will open on March 25 in Milwaukee. It would be the ninth time in 11 years that they open on the road. One of the only times in that span they opened at home was after the lockout in 2022, when the originally scheduled opener was also on the road.

The Angels are scheduled to go to Tampa Bay after the series against the Brewers, and then open at home against the Chicago Cubs on April 2.

The Angels are scheduled to host the Dodgers from May 28-30, and play at Dodger Stadium from July 16-18, immediately after the All-Star break.

In the last week of the season, the Angels would host the Seattle Mariners (Sept. 21-23) and Houston Astros (Sept. 24-26).
