    Landon Seaman, Cal State Fullerton dominate Bethesda

    FULLERTON — The Cal State Fullerton men’s basketball team cruised to an easy victory against an overmatched opponent in its final home game of 2025.

    Landon Seaman scored 25 points, Jefferson De La Cruz Monegro added 21, and Fullerton crushed Bethesda, 116-66, on Wednesday night at Titan Gym.

    Seaman shot 10 for 12 from the field while pacing the Titans (4-7), who built a 36-point lead by halftime while overwhelming their National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) opponent from the outset.

    De La Cruz Monegro did much of his damage at the free-throw line (10 for 12) to go with five rebounds and seven assists. Joshua Ward had 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting, Bryce Cofield added 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, five rebounds and five assists, and Davis White recorded his first double-double (11 points and 10 rebounds).

    Fullerton opened the game with a 13-0 run over the first four minutes and closed the first half with an 11-0 surge. The Titans (4-7) had 44 points in the paint, 31 points off the bench, 19 off of 11 Bethesda turnovers and 16 second-chance points before the intermission.

    Another 11-0 run early in the second half pushed the margin to 47 points and Fullerton led by as much as 52 before it was over.

    The Titans shot 62% from the field (41 for 66) while holding the visitors to 36% (26 for 73). They outrebounded their guests 47-34 and had 30 assists on their 41 field goals. Fullerton had a 64-30 advantage in points in the paint, a 33-7 margin in fast-break points, a 37-8 advantage in points off turnovers and outscored Bethesda by 23 points at the free-throw line.

    Kenji Cooper had 18 points and seven rebounds to pace Bethesda, which is 0-5 against NCAA Division I teams this season (all of the losses by at least 45 points). Miles Sulka finished with 15 points, and Cameron Durr scored 10.

    UP NEXT

    Fullerton plays at Denver on Saturday at 1 p.m. PT and has road games at Oklahoma State and SMU later this month before resuming Big West Conference play with a home game against UC Santa Barbara on Jan. 1.
