“I am happy to recommend Leila Woodward to you. Leila is a very talented young lady with a lovely soprano voice. She has been with me about five years now and has shown herself to be an excellent and enthusiastic student. …She is a wonderful singing actress and is looking forward to being a vocal performance major in college. Leila has been active in acting and theater for as long as I’ve known her; she has quite an extraordinarily innovative natural talent. She is an extremely bright student.” — Kathleen Martin, private instructor

    Willow Wu

“Willow Wu is one of my most dedicated and talented classical-voice students. From the moment we started working together, Willow has been driven and determined to learn proper vocal technique and has rapidly learned various repertoire in Italian, German, French, Latin, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, and English. She is gifted with a lovely coloratura soprano voice, and her kind and charming personality shines through all the repertoire she immerses herself in. Willow’s music theory skills are excellent, her musicality exceptional.” — Milena Kitic, private instructor

    Matthew Yu

“This year, as a senior, he is a member of our top choir and also serves as one of its co-presidents. Matthew’s musical ability is strong, and he has been featured as a soloist in our performances-but where he truly shines is leading others and helping them to be successful in choir, on musical and personal levels. He has made a difference for many people and he has been a tremendous resource and asset for me this year as a new director.” — Christopher Brush, John F. Kennedy High School
