    Baseball roundup: San Juan Hills routs Cypress; Santa Margarita, El Dorado also win

    San Juan Hills scored three runs in three consecutive innings in a stunning 11-0 rout of Cypress in a nonleague baseball game Friday at Cypress High.

    Clay Riggs went 2 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs for San Juan Hills (5-4). Cash Meyer had three hits with a stolen base, three runs scored and two RBIs. Noah Wisneski had two hits with two RBIs.

    Bryce Greinke, Legg and Doss each added doubles.

    Garrett Gandolfo pitched five shutout innings for the Stallions with three hits allowed and seven strikeouts.

    Friday was the second shutout loss of the season for Cypress (4-3). Gage Owens, Ivan Ortiz and Landon Anderson had hits for the Centurions.

    In other nonleague games Friday:

    Santa Margarita 1, Damien 0: A first-inning sacrifice fly by Warren Gravely IV provided the lone run for Santa Margarita in a win at home over Damien.

    Santa Margarita (5-1) was held to just one hit, a single by Gravely in the sixth inning. Brody Schumaker stole a base and scored the first-inning run for the Eagles.

    Tyler Unter pitched five shutout innings for the Eagles with six strikeouts to earn the win. Harvard signee Noah Darnell earned the save with 1⅔ innings of scoreless relief with two strikeouts.

    Aliso Niguel 9, Irvine 4: Chad Alderman hit a double and drove in three runs for Aliso Niguel in a win over visiting Irvine.

    Andrew Watson went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Aliso Niguel (4-0-1) and Jason Orwat drove in a run. Owen Holtzer pitched three innings of scoreless relief to get the win and tallied four strikeouts.

    Ethan Kim hit a home run for Irvine (2-4) and had two RBIs. Roshan Patel had a double with a RBI and Owen Song went 2 for 2 with a stolen base and a RBI.

    El Dorado 10, Granada Hills Charter 4: El Dorado hit three home runs and four doubles in a win at home over Granada Hills Charter.

    Brady Abner and Lorenzo Favela each hit home runs and had three RBIs for El Dorado (4-2). Xavi Cadena hit a home run and added a double.

    Christian Rojas went 2 for 4 with two doubles and Aidan Lasley added three hits. Steven Duran got the win on the mound with four scoreless innings, four hits allowed and four strikeouts.

    Mater Dei 15, Rockwall (Texas) 1: Mater Dei hit three home runs in the second game of a doubleheader against Rockwall in Texas.

    Georgia Tech signee Ezekiel Lara had three hits with a home run, a double and five RBIs for Mater Dei (4-1). Washington commit Austin Gerken went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs and freshman Carlos Landeros hit a home run with two RBIs.

    Brady Guth had two hits with a double and a RBI and Anthony Sanchez pitched four scoreless innings to earn the win.

    Mater Dei lost the first game of the doubleheader 8-1.

    Dana Hills 10, Buchanan 3: Dana Hills scored 10 runs in the fifth and sixth innings to beat Buchanan of Clovis at home.

    Ryan See went 3 for 3 with a home run, a stolen base and four RBIs for Dana Hills (6-2). See also got the win on the mound with three innings of scoreless relief with just one hit allowed and two strikeouts.

    Ryan Georgia had two hits with a RBI and Ely Olesen drove in a run with two runs scored. Football standout James Leicester hit a run-scoring single.

    Laguna Hills 10, Portola 5: Truett Kordes went 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple and three RBIs for Laguna Hills in a home win.

    Sam Kaminsky also hit a home run for Laguna Hills and Christian Sigaty had two hits with a triple and two RBIs. Laguna Hills (3-3) scored five runs in the sixth inning to take the lead after the score was tied.

    Brendan Villanueva went 3 for 4 with a home run for Portola (1-2). Keyan Park hit a home run with two RBIs.

    Edison 11, Tesoro 7: Edison scored nine runs in the second inning and held off a late Tesoro rally.

    Ben Wilson hit a grand slam for Edison (4-3) and had five RBIs. Jordan Alverez went 2 for 2 with a RBI and Austin Barrett drove in a run. Noah Hunter pitched 3⅓ scoreless innings with six strikeouts to get the win.

    Charlie Moraga had a home run, a double and a RBI for Tesoro (1-3). Owen Clark had a double with two RBIs and Luke Ohanian drove in a run.

    Fullerton 1, Chaparral 0: Caden Wise and Garrett Wightman combined to shut out Chaparral in a home win.

    Wise got the win with three scoreless innings, three hits allowed and four strikeouts. Wightman pitched four scoreless innings with three hits allowed and three strikeouts.

    Caleb Brown drove in the lone run of the game for Fullerton (5-1) on a run-scoring double in the third inning.

    Sonora 21, Kennedy 1: Sonora exploded for 21 runs on 19 hits in a blowout win over Kennedy.

    Tucker Hunnicutt went 4 for 4 with three doubles and eight RBIs for Sonora (5-1). Ryan Lietzau went 3 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs.

    Chris Perez went 3 for 4 with a RBI. and Jacob Vasquex went 3 for 6 with a RBI. Robby Blaine got the win for the Raiders with four no-hit innings and nine strikeouts.

    Pacifica Christian 3, Sage Hill 2: Pacifica Christian rallied in the sixth inning to take the lead in a road win over Sage Hill.

    The game-tying run scored due to an error by Sage Hill and Garrett Woody hit a sacrifice fly to give Pacifica Christian (4-2) a 3-2 lead.

    John Peterson drove in two runs and Rowen Gale had two hits for the Tritons. Josiah Miller allowed one earned run in six innings with seven strikeouts. Jon Stone pitched a perfect seventh inning to get the save.

    Evan Stroner allowed no earned runs in five innings with five strikeouts for Sage Hill (4-1). Caleb Kuo had two hits with a RBI for the Lightning.

    In the Freeway League:

    El Modena 10, Pacifica 1: El Modena extended its winning streak to five games with a rout of Pacifica in the Freeway League opener for both teams.

    Jacob Lopez had two hits with two RBIs for El Modena (6-1, 1-0). Troy Nielsen drove in three runs and Ryan Novajoski went 2 for 3 with a double and a RBI. Logan Honikel and Isaac Silva each had two hits with a RBI.

    Cash Ferinac allowed no earned runs in six innings with six strikeouts for the Vanguards.

    Raiden Futami drove in the lone run of the game for Pacifica (2-2, 0-1).
