He is 3 for 9 with five RBIs this spring. “Logan at the plate was awesome,” Manager Kurt Suzuki said. “Logan behind the plate was really awesome. He’s been working really hard, man. The guy has put in a lot of work and it’s nice for him to have some results.” … Nolan Schanuel doubled into the left-center field gap, on a ball with an exit velocity of 105 mph. It was the first extra-base hit of the spring for Schanuel, who is 2 for 10. … Oswald Peraza drove in a run with a double. … Christian Moore singled. Moore, who is fighting for the starting second base job, is 3 for 10 with five strikeouts. … Bryce Teodosio reached on a bunt single on his first attempt of the spring. DEFENSE REPORT: Shortstop Vaughn Grissom misplayed a routine grounder up the middle, but it was ruled a hit. An inning later, Moore couldn’t come up with a bouncer as he went to his right. Both plays were ruled hits. Both times the Angels erased the miscues by turning a double play on the next hitter. … First baseman Jeimar Candelario caught a foul pop-up as he ran into the netting. … Peraza, the third baseman, made a lunging grab of a line drive headed down the line.
