    Orange County baseball Top 25: Orange Lutheran tightens hold on No. 1 spot

    The Orange County baseball rankings as of Monday, March 30.

    ORANGE COUNTY BASEBALL TOP 25

    Notable this week: Top-ranked Orange Lutheran won the championship of the National High School Invitational in North Carolina for the fourth time. Senior Eric Zdunek had two hits and two RBIs in the 7-6 win over Venice of Florida in the championship game Saturday. … Servite moves up to No. 4 after winning two of three Trinity League games against Santa Margarita. … Fountain Valley gets into the Top 10 after a three-game sweep of Corona del Mar in the Sunset League. … Tesoro, Trabuco Hills and Yorba Linda enter the Top 25 after impressive results last week.

    1. Orange Lutheran 7-1: The Lancers won the championship of the National High School Invitational for the fourth time. They beat Venice of Florida, 7-6, in the championship game in Cary, N.C.

    2. Huntington Beach 8-2-1: The Sunset League-leading Oilers played once last week, a 9-4 nonleague win over Mira Costa led by Dane Cunningham, who was 3 for 4 with two RBIs.

    3. Cypress 9-3: The Centurions beat Foothill, 5-3, in a Crestview game last week, their only game of the week. Tyler Vladic delivered a two-run single in the seventh inning.

    4. Servite 9-4: Michael Cabral, John Sullivan and Shane Wendler led the Friars as they won twice in their three-game series against Santa Margarita in the Trinity League.

    9. Fountain Valley 9-2: Blake Wilson and Andrew Harviston pitched shutouts for the Barons as they swept Corona del Mar in a three-game series in the Sunset League
