Dodgers edge Brewers with 8th-inning rally
    • March 10, 2026

THE GAME: The Dodgers scored two runs in the eighth inning and rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers in a Cactus League game on Monday at American Family Fields in Phoenix.

PITCHING REPORT: Right-hander Emmet Sheehan made his second appearance of the spring and his first in a Cactus League game, allowing one run and two hits over 2⅓ innings with three walks and two strikeouts. Sheehan, who returned from Tommy John surgery in June, also pitched against Mexico’s World Baseball Classic team last Wednesday and gave up one run and three hits over 1⅓ innings. … Right-hander River Ryan gave up one run and one hit over 2⅔ innings, with one walk and three strikeouts. His brother, right-hander Ryder Ryan, struck out the side in the eighth and gave up one run in two innings. River Ryan said he could not remember pitching in the same game as his brother but if it did happen, it would have been when he was a sophomore in high school in North Carolina.

HITTING REPORT: Max Muncy singled in his first two at-bats for his first multi-hit game of the spring. Muncy now has a hit in four consecutive games and in five of the six Cactus League games he has played. “My swing feels in a real good spot,” Muncy said. “We worked on some mechanical stuff, and it feels like it’s right there.” … Dalton Rushing drove in the Dodgers’ first run on a single to center in the third inning. … Ryan Fitzgerald and Seby Zavala each had RBI singles, with Zavala delivering the go-ahead run.

DEFENSIVE REPORT: Minor-league shortstop Noah Miller continues to impress with his glove, going up the middle to field a grounder from the Brewers’ Sal Frelick in the first inning before coming to a sliding stop and making the throw on time to first base.
