Bridge maintenance will close connections between the 405 and 55 freeways in Costa Mesa overnight for part of next week, Caltrans officials said.

The nightly closures are scheduled for 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on April 14, 15 and 16 — access will reopen starting each morning during that stretch.

Affected will be the connectors from southbound I-405 to northbound SR-55 and from northbound I-405 to southbound SR-55.

The three right lanes of the Bristol Street bridge over the 405 will also be closed overnight on April 14 and 15.

Caltrans officials said the work is part of a maintenance project involving bridges over the 405 from University Drive to the 605 Freeway.

Here are the detours Caltrans outlines:

For southbound I-405: Exit MacArthur Boulevard, turn right onto MacArthur, turn right onto the ramp for northbound SR-55
For northbound I-405: Exit Bristol Street, turn left onto Bristol, turn left onto Baker Street, turn right onto the ramp for southbound SR-55.
