First look at the foods that ONT Field will serve baseball fans
    • April 1, 2026

Dodger Dogs have the buzz. But the Ontario Tower Buzzers will have their own hot dog.

It’s called the Buzzer Dog. Adam Serrano, regional marketing director for Diamond Baseball Holdings, predicts it will stack up very favorably to the Dodgers’ signature snack.

So does culinary director Daly Cruz.

“It’s a large dog. It’s an all-pork hot dog. It’s something you will try and say maybe I want another one,” he said.

Cruz was speaking Tuesday, March 31, at a preview of ONT Field, a new $100 million stadium where the Buzzers, a Class-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will play. The opening game starts at 6:35 p.m., Thursday, April 2.

Cruz said he is doing nine concessions at various locations around the diamond.

“And they all have kitchens,” he added. “We have the opportunity to do a lot of unique product here.”

Some of the food outlets evoke Dodgers history. Tommy’s Italian Market, near the main entrance, shares the name of longtime manager Tommy Lasorda. On the other side of the field,  Fernando’s Tacomania, will remind fans of Fernandomania inspired by legendary pitcher Fernando Valenzuela.

Although ONT Field “bleeds Dodger blue,” as Buzzers’ general manager Allan Benavides put it, concessions also pay tribute to Ontario. Littleton’s Market is named for Jay Littleton Ball Park, and El Patio Aviones, a bar next to Fernando’s, suggests Ontario International Airport, as does the Baggage Hall, a food hall behind center field.

And the Landing, also at center field, is a standalone building devoted to ice cream.

“I love to cook everything around the world. I go from Mexican to Asian, Italian — you name it,” Cruz said.

Items served at the preview included bao buns with teriyaki chicken, pork belly or pickled vegetables; margherita pizza; street tacos with carne asada or chicken al carbon; vegan soy chorizo and potato tacos; falafel with heirloom tomato, garlic hummus and eggplant aioli; and, yes, hot dogs.

Sweets included horchata ice cream topped with churro fries.

“There will be a little bit of everything for everybody to enjoy,” said Cruz. “Super, super excited, guys. Can’t wait.”
