5 Coachella 2026 takeaways about this year’s festival food and drink lineup
    • April 1, 2026

While most of the hype around the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival focuses on the music lineup, something that may fall under the radar is the festival’s food and beverage options.

By now, fans headed to the Indio Empire Polo Club, April 10-12 and 17-19, for the festival’s 25th anniversary know that headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G will be leading the bill, along with nostalgia acts like The Strokes, the xx and more.

Food and beverages are among the most important parts of any event, and that’s especially true for fans looking to brave the desert heat for three days. Staying hydrated and getting some food in between sets will help prevent burnout. Knowing the menu ahead of time can also help fans plan their days by coordinating where to pick up the food and when to eat.

Along with some of the most prominent acts in music, fans will get to choose from Michelin-starred dishes, local favorites, vegan bites, secret speakeasies, and a variety of delicious foods, beverages and sweet treats.

Here are some of this year’s menu highlights at Coachella:

    The new

As in previous iterations of the festival, those looking to grab a bite can head to the tented food bazaar, Indio Central Market, where most of the food will be served. Some of the new vendors this year include Villa’s Tacos, the griddled queso taco shop featured in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show; the Korean-inspired smashburger joint Softies Burger; and, for a cool-off dessert, Churrería El Moro, which will debut with a pop-up near the Ferris wheel where guests can watch churros being made in real time.

Also new this year is the Street Food Alley expansion with a new passageway through the Terrace to the Beer Barn, which will feature LA-based Fat Sal’s brand-new food truck, the OG Roy Chois’ Kogi’s food truck, Innamorata’s hand-scooped gelato, Spicy Pie slices, Gabino’s Creperie, an Indio local favorite, Unreal Poke’s fresh bowls, Sumo Dog’s American-Japanese fusion hotdogs, and Café La Vecindad, for a bit of a pick me up in the morning or late afternoon.

    Exclusive bites

The 12 Peaks VIP area is one of the premium dining zones, returning with a lineup featuring both indulgent, chef-driven concepts and cult favorites. Guests in the area can find the Michelin-starred Le Burger by Camphor, truffle-laced comfort food at the Truffle Boys, Indio-local TKB serving its famously oversized sandwiches, and My Lai offering crisp, flavor-packed banh mi.

Sweetfin also returns with its fresh, fast-premium poke bowls, and Tacos 1986 brings back its Tijuana-style tacos, while Bang Bang Noodles serves Szechuan garlic noodles. Civico Restaurants adds its modern Italian-Californian approach from San Diego, Randy’s Spammys, LA’s popular spam musubi pop-up, will also be an exclusive option. Menotti’s keeps the espresso flowing, and Gerard’s Paella will serve a Spanish chicken-and-shrimp staple.

In the Rose Garden, Jim Denevan’s Outstanding in the Field is back, offering its tradition of long-table, family-style dining away from the main flow of the grounds. Each evening begins with a welcome cocktail and unfolds over multi-course menus prepared by notable chefs, celebrating farms, producers and regional ingredients.

This year’s Outstanding in the Field programming features Michael Beckman (Workshop Kitchen & Bar) on April 10, Alan Sanz (Mírate, Daisy Margarita Bar) on April 11 and Jonathan Harris (Linden) on April 12. Weekend 2 features Charles Namba (Camélia, Tsubaki, OTOTO) on April 17, Donnie Masterton (The Restaurant) & Christian Herrera (Live Baja Catering) on April 18 and Nico de Leon on April 19.

Nobu, set within the Red Bull Mirage overlooking the Quasar Stage, is also returning to offer an omakase experience prepared by Nobu’s sushi chefs. Reservations include all-day Floor 1 access to Red Bull Mirage, allowing diners to move between an intimate sushi counter and panoramic sightlines of the Quasar Stage below.

    Speakeasies and drinks

Every year, Coachella offers attendees a chance to escape the sun, relax in air conditioning and enjoy a fun cocktail in a themed speakeasy bar.

Mixteca returns this year, boasting its agave-forward bar concept from the team behind New York City’s Please Don’t Tell (PDT), which spotlights tequila and mezcal-driven cocktails. Two other bar concepts include Golden Hour and a Tiki Bar.

The festival is also debuting a signature cocktail that celebrates the Coachella Valley’s agricultural roots, made with citrus and dates and poured into an exclusive collectible cup available at select locations across the festival site. Other cocktail services will include Block Party and Love Hour.

Beer drinkers will also be able to visit The Beer Barn and The Cabin by Houston Hospitality.

    Vegan alternatives

Missing from this year’s vegan festival lineup is Monty’s Good Burger, which was a favorite among plant-based alternatives at the festival, but fear not, there are still plenty of other options. Indio Central Market will serve plant-based options, Maneatingplant and Forever Pie. Sonora welcomes Gokoku, North Hollywood’s vegan sushi bites and flavorful Teriyaki and Tempura bowls, and Maciel’s, which will serve up a range of sandwiches featuring its signature vegan meats, tasty sides, and even a banana chocolate chip cookie.

Street Food Alley will feature Cena Vegan’s Taco Party menu, and both Café La Vecindad and Innamorata will offer plant-based dishes and treats. Prince St. Pizza will also offer vegan slices in the desert for the first time. If you’re in 12 Peaks VIP, Civico Restaurants will also serve some vegan-friendly options.

    Camper’s delight

Campers will also find their own dedicated lineup designed for late nights and early mornings, including Handles Coffee, Valley Fusion Sushi, Dave’s Hot Chicken and Drip Daddy, keeping the energy going well beyond the main grounds.
