Newport Coast estate formerly known as ‘Chateau Dubrow’ seeks $62M
    • March 26, 2026

The Newport Coast estate formerly known as “Chateau Dubrow” is back on the market, primed for another record-breaking sale.

Listed for $62 million, this 20,133-square-foot mansion boasts seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. Reality TV couple Heather and Terry Dubrow custom-built the home in 2014, documenting the project on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”

While the Dubrows made the home famous, they no longer own it. Records viewed at PropertyShark.com indicate “the Housewife” and the “Botched” surgeon sold the property to US No.8 LLC in an off-market deal for $55 million in October 2022 — setting the record for  Orange County’s priciest sale that year.

A sale near the asking price would set a new high-water mark for Orange County real estate this year, eclipsing the $43.6 million sale of a nearby Newport Coast home in January.

Documents filed with the California Secretary of State show Kiz Design Studio manages the LLC. The Robb Report ties the entity to Gu Fang, the wife of Chinese billionaire Xu Hang, co-founder of medical device manufacturer Mindray Medical, but Southern California News Group could not confirm that connection.

According to the article, the Newport Coast estate was part of a global $250 million spending spree on mansions.

    A “fantastical” legal hurdle

The current listing follows a resolved legal battle that briefly held the title hostage. In February 2024, Beverly Hills resident Nicholas Phipps White and his wife, Mirga, triggered the conflict when he filed a lawsuit alleging he rightfully owned the property. He made a similar claim about the storied Spelling Manor in Los Angeles.

White alleged the U.S. government issued him a $27.8 billion settlement check, which his then-attorney, Tom Girardi, subsequently stole. He further claimed Girardi, the disgraced lawyer and estranged husband of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne, used some of those billions to buy “Chateau Dubrow” through a fraudulent entity.

The courts flatly rejected this story, including the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upholding the dismissal of White’s claims, describing the $27.8 billion theft allegations as “fantastical.”

But the path to the current listing was cleared in early 2025, when US No.8 LLC filed a lawsuit against the Whites. The Orange County Superior Court judge voided White’s third-party claim and declared the LLC “has at all times from and after October 20,2022, been the sole and rightful owner.”

    Beyond the glass-domed entry

The estate commands a nearly three-quarter-acre, cul-de-sac lot in guard-gated Crystal Cove.

Beyond the soaring glass-domed entry, a gourmet kitchen with two islands flows into the massive great room. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors frame panoramic views of the ocean, Catalina Island and Newport Harbor.

Outside, an infinity pool overlooks the coastline alongside fire features and a professional-grade outdoor kitchen.

Back inside, the dining room showcases a temperature-controlled wine wall. The primary retreat anchors dual bathrooms, a private salon and an oversized dressing room.

Luxury amenities continue with two executive offices, a glass-walled gym, a light-up onyx bar and a 21-seat movie theater. A motor court leads to a 10-car subterranean “show” garage.

Ginger Glass and Alexandra Glass of Compass represent the property.
