OC Fair to hire 400 workers for this summer’s event
    • May 14, 2026

The OC Fair has hundreds of open positions for this summer’s festivities.

The fair is looking to hire 400 workers, who are at least 16 years old, to run its summer festival from July 17 to Aug. 16.

The jobs are mostly seasonal, part-time opportunities to build exhibits, provide customer service or work as ticket takers. Hiring departments include parking, security, janitorial, landscaping, maintenance and admissions. And some year-round jobs are available, too.

Employee perks include free admission to the fair and the option to buy discounted tickets for friends and family.

Event organizers will host a hiring event on Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m to 12 p.m at the center’s administration building, at 88 Fair Dr., Costa Mesa.

Applications are required and must be submitted prior to the event, and interviews will be conducted on-site. Applicants are encouraged to bring resumes, though they’re not required.

Fair tickets are on sale now, as are tickets to performances at the Pacific Amphitheatre, The Hangar and Action Sports Arena. In addition to the Every Day Passport, which provides unrestricted admission to all 23 days of the fair, event organizers have introduced new value bundles and kids’ meals this year.

Like last year, daily attendance is limited, and tickets will need to be purchased online in advance.
