    Mookie Betts, Kyle Tucker hit home runs as Dodgers sweep split-squad games

    THE GAME: Mookie Betts hit his first home run of the spring in one game and Kyle Tucker hit his second in the other as Dodgers split-squad teams beat the Chicago Cubs 14-8 at Sloan Park in Mesa and the Texas Rangers 5-3 at Camelback Ranch in Glendale.

    HITTING REPORT: Claimed on waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates earlier this spring, then outrighted to minor-league camp, Jack Suwinski got his first game action in a Dodgers uniform against the Cubs and hit a three-run home run in his first at-bat. … Zach Ehrhard and Damon Keith had triples against the Cubs and James Tibbs III was 2 for 3 with a double. … Hyeseong Kim rejoined the team from the WBC and went 1 for 4 against the Cubs. … Tucker’s two-run home run highlighted the win over the Rangers. … Miguel Rojas was 2 for 3 in that game, and Teoscar Hernandez had a double.

    PITCHING REPORT: In the game against the Rangers, River Ryan allowed one run on four hits and a walk while striking out five in four innings.
