    See free lunchtime concerts in downtown L.A.

    Like music? Well, every Tuesday through May 5, there will be a free lunchtime concert from noon until 1 p.m. at Colburn Plaza in Downtown L.A.

    The series, which begins April 7, is presented in partnership with the Colburn School of performing arts and the DTLA Alliance Community Trust. Local workers and residents are invited to enjoy live music and dance, showcasing the work by Colburn students. People attending will also have a chance to win a $25 gift card each week to local dining spots.

    Musical works currently scheduled include the following:

    April 7: Beethoven Piano Trio in E-flat Major, Op. 1, No. 1; Mendelssohn Piano Trio No. 2 in C Minor.

    April 14:  Janacek String Quartet No. 1 and a vocal performance by Lilia Cerna

    April 21: Beach Romance for Violin and Piano, Schumann Drei Fantasiestücke, Brahms Piano Trio No. 1 in B Major and a performance by Dalia Gonzalez, Trombone

    April 28: Chopin Etude, Op. 25, No. 6 and Chopin Ballade No. 4 in F minor, Op. 52

    May 5: Violinist Andrew Peng and dancers will perform.
