Brian Wilson’s former Lake Arrowhead retreat lists for $6.6M
    • April 4, 2026

A waterfront Lake Arrowhead home formerly owned by late Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson is on the market for $6.595 million.

Built on a downslope, the 4,526-square-foot retreat — described in the Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty listing as a blend of “Nantucket charm with the laid-back vibes of ‘Something’s Gotta Give’” — features five bedrooms, six bathrooms and multiple lake-view decks.

San Bernardino County records show Wilson and his wife, Melinda, purchased the then-new home from Scorziell Development Inc. for $2.1 million in December 2012. They sold it to the current owner for $2.85 million in November 2019.

Records also show the owner, a descendant of early 20th-century press baron William Randolph Hearst, holds the property in a trust.

Ample windows fill the custom-designed interiors with natural light. High ceilings, white walls, wood floors and multi-level staircases define the space.

The main level features spacious, open-plan living and dining areas, as well as an eat-in kitchen. It boasts quartz countertops, a large walk-in pantry and top-of-the-line appliances.

At the bottom-most level is a bar, family room and game room fitted with four built-in bunk beds.

The primary suite features a private deck, a fireplace, a walk-in closet with a coffee bar and a soaking tub with lake views — vistas that abound throughout the home.

Listing details on Redfin highlight a “lovingly renovated” interior with an elevator, fireplaces both inside and out, and other “bells, whistles and wow-factors.” The sale includes direct lake access and a private dock amid the natural surroundings and community walking paths.

The home has cycled on and off the market, reaching a high asking price just under $9 million in September 2025.

Leslie Selich of Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing.

This was not the first Lake Arrowhead home owned by Wilson. The chief songwriter behind “Pet Sounds” and era-defining hits like “Good Vibrations” reportedly bought and sold another property in the resort town before upgrading to this larger retreat.

Wilson died in June 2025 at 82. His wife preceded him in January 2024 at 77.
