    Kia EV owners now have access to Tesla Superchargers

    Kia electric vehicle owners now have access to the Tesla Supercharger network, adding more than 21,500 DC fast chargers to their available charging options, Kia America announced in a recent news release.

    Combined with the more than 22,000 fast chargers already available through other networks, Kia EV owners can now use more than 40,000 DC fast chargers nationwide.Drivers of Kia vehicles equipped with a standard NACS (North American Charging Standard) port or using a Kia NACS adapter can access Tesla Superchargers through the Kia Access app.

    The app also allows drivers to search for, locate, and navigate to charging stations, check availability, view status updates, and see pricing information.Enrollment is available through the Kia Charge Pass program.

    The 2025 Kia EV6 and 2026 Kia EV9, Kia now come standard with NACS charging ports, eliminating the need for an adapter on those vehicles.

    “Kia is committed to an exceptional ownership experience and expanding the network of available DC fast chargers to our EV customers is an important component to maintaining the brand’s leadership in electrified mobility,” said Seungkyu (Sean) Yoon, president and CEO of Kia North America and Kia America.

    “Now, with access to the Tesla Supercharger network of DC fast chargers, our EV owners can feel even more confident in their decision to purchase or lease a fully electric Kia vehicle,” Yoon added.

    According to Kia, the addition of the Tesla network increases its fast-charging options by more than 80 percent. For Kia owners with EVs using a CCS1 charging port, NACS-to-CCS1 adapters are available through Kia dealers.
